ELIZA chatbot with GUI and TTS (using inform and espeak)
« on: May 20, 2019, 10:38:34 PM »
hello everyone

i made a GUI using inform then i inserted the code of an ELIZA chatbot which was posted here in the forum and i added TTS using espeak if you have already installed on your machine... also this program will create a text file called "ELIZA-LOG.txt" on your machine to record your conversations :)

enjoy!

ps = I WOULD LIKE TO THANK CODE HUNTER AND FELLIPPE HEITOR FOR THEIR HELP!

hi everyone :)

i found and fix a bug in the code. the bug was that if you would repeat the same input ELIZA was supposed to ask you not to repeat yourself but since there was a bug ELIZA wouldn't do that and just reply as if it was new input... i fixed it by adding new DIM SHARED variables and fixing the GOTO the LABEL_END: in the chat sub where the brain of ELIZA code is...

so this is the new and improved ELIZA-gui

@Jack, that's just disturbing. Now I'm afraid to open a support ticket!

If you moved the interface window to the top-right, then you could teach her to say... Hey, I'm up here!

Well, glad you found and fixed the bug, and you're having fun using e-speak, but unless you can get Eliza to do housework, well, I just don't have any interest in a female bot that doesn't do anything but talk.
